If you are looking for a orthodontist in the Santa Monica area, I highly recommend Dr. Norman and her wonderful staff. My son has been a patient for years and Dr. Norman has been incredibly easy to communicate with regarding services. She is kind, caring and thorough. She explains each step and ensures everyone's comfort level. Staff in her office are friendly, supportive and professional. The office is immaculate, which makes the visits stress-free especially during the pandemic. My son says the visits are "rather quick and painless." What more could you ask for?

We have been going there since our daughter was two. She's now 15. She's had cleanings, cavities filled, and orthodontic work. As parents we are so thrilled our daughter has no fear going to the dentist. The office decor gives one the sense of a warm and cheerful place. Drs Schwarz, Stone, and Norman are very knowledgeable, experienced, and approachable. They treat the kids with great respect, patience, and a little bit of humor. My daughter (the early years) looked forward to the movie they would be playing on the ceiling and the toy she would receive at the end. During one exam, Dr. Schwarz noticed a potential tooth problem surfacing and addressed it immediately in a calm way. The staff has always been helpful. We couldn't be more satisfied. If you are searching for a pediatric dentist, this is your place. The only sad part is that eventually, our daughter will be an adult and she'll have to go elsewhere.

The doctors and staff here are stellar!! I would not go anywhere else! Our dentist and orthodontist are professional but also caring and gentle will my kids. The dental assistants are patient and warm. SM Dentistry come highly recommended.

I brought my 17 month old child to see Dr. Jessie for his first ever dental checkup. I was given the paperwork as soon as I walked into the office. I filled it out fast and a nurse came out to talk to my baby while I finished. She was super nice and talked to him as if he was grown up. It was really cute. We were seated in one of their closed rooms on the left of the entrance. She asked if he allowed me to brush his teeth which I replied to NO. She tried to look into his mouth but he wouldn't allow her to. They have a tv facing the floor in the ceiling so the kids can be entertained while they work on them. 

She gave me a goody bag and showed me what was in it and how to use the flosser. She said that the doc would be able to do the cleaning since he wouldn't open his mouth to her. 

Dr. Jessie walked in and immediately tried to make my baby more comfortable with her. She talked to him in a voice that made him smile. She was able to get him to open his mouth wide and showed me how I can do the same to brush his teeth. She was very welcoming and took her time answering all my questions. 

On the way out she asked him to pick a toy which he was very excited out. My older kids always ask to go SM dentistry to get the free toys.

Dr. Stone is an excellent, honest, and thorough dentist with amazing bedside manners - which is the ideal combination for a pediatric dentist you entrust your child with. At our appointment prior to my daughter's cavity treatment, Dr. Stone was articulate with what she was going to do, why, and any precautions we needed to take to prevent further pain before our treatment date. During the procedure on Monday, Dr. Stone was so meticulous and not once made us feel rushed, even though her schedule is packed and multiple nurses poked their head in to ask about something. Throughout the whole process, we could tell that she and the the dental assistant truly cared about our daughter. I am forever grateful for their meticulous and kind care. We're actually looking forward to fixing the cavities in the other parts of her mouth - especially my little five year old, who actually asked to go back!! I could tell she was comfortable during the entire procedure and she was mesmerized by the awesome prize selection at the end of the appointment. :) 

Note: Make sure to floss your toddler's teeth!! It's so important. My daughter has cavities in between her molars in all four sections of her mouth because we were not diligent about flossing her teeth when she  was a toddler. 

While I feel so bad for not flossing my child everyday, I'm so blessed to say that my daughter won't be having the same trauma about dentist visits like I did as a child, and in fact, she will have such great, happy memories about her dentist and the dental staff. Dr. Stone and her assistant took such excellent care of my daughter. They are the best!

Dr Stone and her tooth crew are the nicest, most patient, and lovely dental staff. (Hannah is our favorite assistant!) Their office is adorable, up-to-date and clean. More importantly, they have awesome toys/prizes for kids (and their dads) after each visit. And they don't make our daughter cry, or scare her like typical dentists do.

When I noticed there was something awry with my little girl's front teeth, I found SM Dentistry for Children and frantically made the soonest appointment possible. I was trying not to be hysterical and the gals on the phone were sweet and helpful. When we came in for our first visit, it could not have been more pleasant...at a DENTAL office! I didn't think that was even possible. Dr. Stone was amazing. Long story short, we had to have our 18-month old girl undergo a procedure where she had to be sedated. Holy sh-t. I cried. That was one of the scariest moments for new(ish) parents with such a young child. And once again, Dr. Stone calmed our nerves and did an awesome job. Fast forward a few months later when said little girl fell on her face (and her somewhat newly bonded front teeth) and we had to rush to the office for an emergency visit. I cried again. Baby cried A LOT. And Dr. Stone saved the day. She should wear a cape instead of a white coat.

Since then, we've been in for a couple routine visits and Dr. Stone has helped our little girl's smile look brighter and she's made me feel so much more at ease. I could hug her. Best dentist/superhero!

Dr. Stone, Dr. Norman, and our hygienist are all so fast and thorough. My son always makes it through these visits happy, calm, and newly informed. He has had a couple of tricky baby tooth issues and they’ve handled them all with ease.

Dr. Norman and her team are simply the best. Great bedside manner. Very safe environment which is especially important during a pandemic and always the best dental work. My daughter sat quietly for a mold for a retainer to come and for adjustments to her braces. Great visit. Highly recommend.

We have been bringing our two daughters to Santa Monica Dentistry for nine years now and began seeing Dr. Elke as soon as she started at the practice. She is everything you want in a pediatric dentist- calm, confident, knowledgeable, and explains everything she’s doing to the kids who need it and keeps it basic for the ones who don’t (I have one of each and somehow she knew exactly what each one needed to hear). From basic cleanings and fillings to complicated extractions, she has gotten my kids through it all with smiles on their faces at the end. I can’t recommend her enough!
